Adventure Technology Oracle surf test | Forestry

As per my last post which was my initial review of the AT Oracle Paddle  I was pretty keen to wrap up my thoughts of the paddle in a surf session. A refresher for those that missed my review, this blade design is adapted from the AT Whitewater paddles. What this means for me is a paddle that is going to be more ideal for aggressive paddling both in surf and in high intensity training paddles. You can read that review HERE

This session was going to confirm or deny if the Oracle paddle would perform for me in the surf…  I am happy to say all boxes ticked powerful stroke, less flutter, better stability when bracing and rolling and better suited for aggressive paddling with high angle strokes! although the waves were quite gentle in this session I got enough runs to feel the performance advantages of this blade. Watch the 2min video of this session at Forestry above to get the full picture. You can find out more here at Fergs website AT ORACLE PADDLE

Here is a bunch a great images taken on the GoPro in this session (kayak used in this session is the Barracuda Beachcomber Ultralight )  could not pic a few favorites so I have dumped them all here..
