BOTE BOARDS Traveller –  overview after first paddle

I have been lucky enough to trial the first BOTE Boards Traveller to make it to Australian shores, and I just have to say it now “I Want One”. Here’s a preview from my test paddle

Designed as a touring/adventure stand up paddle board with options, one of the great things about owning a BOTE is having options. Options that allow you to outfit your BOTE the way you want for the things you like to do.

For my test paddle I took the Traveller for an evening paddle on the Maroochydore river, starting at Picnic point, heading past cotton tree then to the mouth of the river with the outgoing tide. I rode a few runners at the river mouth and finally paddling back to picnic point into the outgoing current which can certainly travel.

The Traveller  does everything the guys at BOTE claim, glides through the water, stable, easy to manage off the water and rides a small runner nicely too. I have to say one thing that struck me when paddling past other people on the water was the wow factor this board creates…

You just feel proud to be on it, its design its lines and the attention to detail in the finish just create envy, especially when passing others in their generic 10ft boards battling the Maroochydore river at full outgoing tide while you cruise past with easy and style.

If your keen to see the range of BOTE Boards coming to the Sunshine Coast this season, including the 2017 Traveller, drop a line to the crew at Kayak and SUP Sunshine Coast and book a demo – more contact them here and tell them I sent you  –
